so last night when everybody was asleep, i was doing my college supplements with my sisters ipod on and listening to 106.7 fm.

all the christmas songs made me so nostalgic.

i remember when i was like little and when december 1 hitted, my sister and I would run upstairs to the attic and take out the christmas ornaments and drag along the makeshift tree to the 1st floor.

its been a while.

.

i really didnt know how much it really meant to me.

i really didnt know how much it really affected me inside.

it was just there.

and during dinner, with my mom and dad, i tried so hard to hold back my tears. i bit my tongue so deep it bled and then

i bursted out crying.

i couldn’t stop.

it just kept flowing and flowing,

but when my mom grabbed me by the arm for the first time and said those two words, i knew i should dry my tears.

and i did.

it was only two words.

“Stay strong.”

and I’m owning to it.

I know I WILL.

Good.

aside from all the crap left and right and up and down,

life’s good.

you know?

it’s good.

“Well, yes, ma’am, I do… I mean, I got everything I need right here with me. I got air in my lungs, a few blank sheets of paper. I mean, I love waking up in the morning not knowing what’s gonna happen or, who I’m gonna meet, where I’m gonna wind up. Just the other night I was sleeping under a bridge and now here I am on the grandest ship in the world having champagne with you fine people. I figure life’s a gift and I don’t intend on wasting it. You don’t know what hand you’re gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you… to make each day count.”
